NipCrete Chair
The NipCrete Chair was completed as a research collaboration between Charlie O'Geen and Maria Simon while studying at Cranbrook Academy of Art. The project was an investigation of how the human form could be supported by a chair made of 'fabric' formed concrete. The form was made of a foundation drainage membrane that was supported by a plywood structure. The chair has bent rebar embedded into the form to increase its structural capacity and logevity.
